Goodnight Moon (a little past noon)

Goodnight Moon

Image via Wikipedia

Today at naptime Eli came to me with the book Goodnight Moon in his hand. I have tried reading this to him countless times before but never got past the second page before he would decidedly shut the book. He hasn’t even been interested in looking at the pictures on these previous occasions.

Today, not only did we read the book through, but then he asked to read it again as he nursed down to sleep.

I think my heart swelled a size or two.

More fun than baby crack aka Singing Time?? Oooh, I don’t know about that.

Goodnight moon is a good one, though. 🙂

Aww! I was worried when David kept rejecting the Narnia books, but I needn’t have. He just needed to reach the right stage.

Oh my – how sweet is that last picture?! This is one book that I always check out at the store, but never purchase. I have no idea why!

What I like most about Goodnight Moon is how it sounds when read aloud. I’m not much into the illustrations, except for the vintage quality to them, but Eli does like to point out the various items in the room.

You know you amaze me. Not only are you a mother with one hand painfully out of commission, who still manages to keep up her own blog, And respond to her reader’s comments on said blog (one handedly, of course), but you also find it in your heart to share some commenting kindness with me! Thank you!
